25 weeks and 4 days

We have almost made it to 26 weeks. On Sunday, that's where we'll be. I had an appointment with the surgeon Tuesday and everything went really well. He says I'm  measuring right where I need to be. The baby is moving around a lot, I can feel her kick almost every day. Today she has been moving a lot!!! It's neat for Adam to feel her and see her kick. He talks to my belly and tells her to have a good day when he leaves for work. Can you say, adorable? :) I first felt her move the day I got home from the hospital. It is for sure one of the coolest things ever.
We had a baby shower this weekend hosted by two of my childhood friends. My family and high school friends came. Lots of fun! There are pictures on facebook for those who want to see.
It seems like there are pregnant people allll around me. More and more I'm hearing of people having babies this year!
In 10 weeks, they'll be taking the stitches out... in 6 weeks, they consider me "as good as full term". 32 weeks, here we come! Lord, please keep this baby girl in here for 6 more weeks! Now, if only I can get through these progesterone shots....

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
