Let's lighten up the mood a bit aye? I have noticed some of my last posts have been a bit heavy, or just blah. And I'm not really a blah kind of gal. Life's good. God is better. Much better in fact than anything else ever. As most of my readers (if there are more than 2 out there) know I listen to 106.9 the light in the mornings on my way to work. This week there have been some messages about knowing God and how loving God is to know God. I was thinking how interesting it is that so many messages or sermons are about telling people that they need to know God, and how to know Him. We need to read the Word and pray and spend time with Him. If I want to get to know someone here...a new friend, a family members, a random person, then I have to spend time with them to get to know them. Why would we think it's any different with God and why is it so easy to make time to spend with earthly people and so difficult to spend time with our creator? I curl up thinking of how little I know of this such great God who has done such great things and even created me. So...I'm thinking I might start scheduling in a little better some time with Him. I function better when things are a little more scheduled, or at least I find a way to fit them in.

The Holidays were full of fun times as you can see! I'm thankful to have such sweet people in my life whether they be family or friends. A new year has started and so have new memories! Keep checking back for updates...and brilliant writing :) Haha.

Other news: I may be writing an article for a publication about Cheerleading. Could be fun! Shae is also coming to visit me this weekend to celebrate my turning 28 on Monday. And...Happy Birthday Adam!

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. We pray every night asking God that we stay in His will. Knowing all along that what His will might be is that we just trust in Him and be patient. Trusting that He will provide. That H

I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
