Loving August

This past weekend Adam and I went to Raleigh. Friday we had engagement photos....SO FUN! Thanks Rebecca for everything! Then Saturday we went to Jeff and Jen's wedding and met with Chad. Sunday church and Charlotte for my brother's birthday and then back to the grind. What'er that may be. It was a really great weekend and it always makes it hard for Adam to leave and us be apart again. Can't wait for the day we're in the same place, it'll be here soon enough :)
Today I've been packing up my sister's room. She got accepted into Greensboro College and starts in a week or so. We are so excited for her! She is really motivated right now and I love it. Lots of new chapters starting this year, it sure has been a 'time to shine in 09'. I'm enjoying this season of life and looking forward to everything that's still to come, it's very exciting.

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. We pray every night asking God that we stay in His will. Knowing all along that what His will might be is that we just trust in Him and be patient. Trusting that He will provide. That H

I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
