A few photos at last

Shonica reminded me at Teran's wedding this past weekend that I never posted our photos from when we got engaged down at Sunset Beach May 1st. Enjoy :)
This is me realizing Adam is there...
The Christmas tree by the piling is because my mom always said you need to decorate one with someone before you get married so you can learn how patient they are with the lights!
The chairs are because my grandparents always sit under the pier here...they will be married 65 years this November. I can't wait to sit under the pier with Adam when I'm 80. Haha.Will you marry me? You betcha I will.

We then went to Dockside to eat dinner with Sharlene. It was great as always. So...here's the photos folks. :)

You know what I just realized? The chairs are set up right beneath a sign that says "No sitting in this area." Ha! Are your grandparents rebels too, or is this a new trend y'all are starting? ;)

As to your (and Adam's) comments on the blog - yes, please on accountability. I definitely need some from a female perspective that I feel like knows/understands what I'm going through! Haha. So let me know what you were thinking on that, and I'm game ;)

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
