Merry (White) Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the McCulloughs! We took this at our church last weekend when we had our annual "O Holy Goat" party. (I do take credit for coming up with the name 3 years ago!) It's an event for the student ministry and since we both volunteer as leaders, we happy attended! It is a fundraiser to raise money to purchase goats in other countries to feed needy families. It's also a great way to teach the students they can give and make an impact in the world. We had a fabulous Christmas seeing lots of family and just enjoying the season. We are so thankful to celebrate Jesus' birth! What a great gift to all of us. I'll post more 'catch up' photos soon as this has been a busy season and I haven't seemed to keep up. It is snowing here in NC as I watch the weather channel and my husband is asleep on the couch, the tree is still lit, and of course, I'm a night owl and am wide awake ;). I have never seen a white Christmas before so what a gift this is for me...I'm thankful that it is snowing on Christmas in NC! I'm so excited that I can't fall asleep! Merry Christmas to my friends out there that get as giddy at Christmastime as I do. Love to all!

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. We pray every night asking God that we stay in His will. Knowing all along that what His will might be is that we just trust in Him and be patient. Trusting that He will provide. That H

I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
