The best part

Sappy? Sure.

I went to middle/high school camp with Team Church last week. It was tons of fun; lots of hiking, waterfalls, and time worshiping Jesus. When I came home on Friday Adam was at the church waiting on me to get back from dropping off the van I drove all week, with these flowers in hand. These flowers, and him there I have decided are the best part. Through all the wedding planning, talking, decisions and indecisiveness, lack of money, colors, foods, and allll that...the best part is at the end of the day I get a phone call and get to talk to him. Eventually, I'll actually get to see him at the end of the day! What a concept :) God's so good and I keep thinking how awesome he is to create marriage for us on earth. I'm so glad he thought of it.
On the flower note, I have picked out flowers for the most part and it was fun. Rebecca is going to do our engagement photos in August. I can only imagine how awesome she is going to make them...such a great friend and so talented! If you ever need a photographer...hire her!

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
