Great Day!

That's what my papaw says when he gets excited or frustrated. "Great Day!" Haha. I love it.

Today is a 'good for your soul' day. I don't quite know how to explain it. Something about listening to Kenny singing "Down the Road" and a good morning. My sis stayed with me last night. I got up, went to the gym at 8, came home and made pancakes, scrambled eggs, blueberries and coffee. So delish!
Today is a day where I really wanna go run through a field. People make fun of me when I say this. Or sit on a dock for hours talking at the lake. Or take a long walk with the sand between my toes. That's a good for the soul day. The smell of wet grass or the cool spring breeze (It is almost spring, so this is relevant). I just want to spend time with people that I love. People that also know what it's like to feel like that.

Just keep writing

 The online world is wild, really. It seems to have gotten more and more wild over the years. Sometimes the fear of comments or other peoples opinions keeps you from writing. Gratitude where you are

 Gratitude by Brandon Lake is playing in the background as I come and sit down to have an afternoon snack of homemade pico and chips.  My children are across the street at our new neighbors. They are from Ukraine. They have been a gift like all the other neighbors we have met in this unexpected season of life. They love to play with my kids and they are kind. There are three other families with children in the neighborhood who all love our kids and treat them like family. There is an abuela who will have the occasional glass of wine and a cheese board with me. Gratitude...as I am sitting here frustrated over a house I wanted that went to someone else today. It's not my plan. Baby books and the like

I'm still working on the eating healthy thing. I've found one of my favorite snacks is Triscuits (the original, they have only 3 ingredients and no junk!) and hummus. But every time I go to the Teeter they are out of the sun dried tomato so I end up with garlic... and in turn end up with garlic breath. Oh the lengths we go to be healthy ;) Today I'm buckling down on Alley's baby book. I make a Shutterfly book for each year since Adam and I have been married and so far I LOVE the way they turn out. I started the old fashioned scrapbooking when I was in college. My Mom had made ours up through high school and I continued it through about 2005. So when Adam and I got married I started the digital books. I've done one so far for 2010 and 2011. I am working on 2012 so I can get caught up :) But, for the baby I want to do an old fashioned baby book with all the photos for at least the first couple of months or the first year.
