 I may have just lost some of you with the title or you may think I've finally gone over the organizational edge :) However, this is a great way to save space and time and was something I have been wanting to do for a while now. We find ourselves frequently needing to pull out one of our user manuals to figure out how to use something. Once baby came, we accumulated A LOT more manuals. These are important to keep because they can contain product numbers in case there is a safety issue or recall. Previously I would just throw them into this plastic container.  Before: a giant mess of manuals I recommend using erasable dividers, that way you don't end up needing to buy new ones if something changes. I just spent a few minutes reading through some of my old blogs. The really old ones are funny and I realize how young I was when I started writing this! I'm sure five years from now I'll look back and think how young I am now. I enjoy writing. Lately, with the baby I have had a ton of other things going on and haven't made writing a priority. I am working on several projects around here. Painting a doll house. Creating a photo wall. Scrapbooking (as always). I also have a hand written journal for our daughter that I write in every time she does something new and journaling about her life in general. So, life is good but I just haven't been blogging. Adam started a new job with Edward Jones two weeks ago. He is going to be a Financial Advisor with them and is really excited about this opportunity. This was one of the first rooms we organized. We are still in the process of the Master closet and bedroom. I didn't take before pics of all the drawers, or after of all the drawers, just the ones I think become the most messy places. Here's what it looked like before: This is the top drawer after I organized it. I got these bamboo containers at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I will get more of these eventually, but for now I use them for makeup, hair bows, nail clippers, and Adam's cologne samples. Basically all the little items. This is under the sink on my side. The white basket holds extra toiletries like mouthwash and body wash.  The white 3 drawer holds floss, travel size shampoos and conditioners and small lotions.  The round box holds all of Alley's baby stuff for bath-time.  The few bottles in front are the ones I use the most frequent.  The blue container holds nail supplies.  I recommend Target for rubbermaid storage and drawers. My house has gotten out of control. Granted, I had a baby and things got a little crazy :) Adam and I know we are going to have to move sometime in the near future because the people who own this house are going to try to sell it. We have decided after moving so many times that we don't want to have to move anything we don't need anymore. Yesterday, we started on the master closet. I didn't take a before picture but will post an "after" picture shortly. If you know me at all, you know how I feel about organization. I love it! Like, it makes me happy. (And yes, I said "like"). I enjoy vacuuming because it gives me a feeling of instant gratification. Everyone gets that feeling from something and for me, it's cleaning and organization. I am type A but definitely not a perfectionist. There are just some things I like neat and orderly, like underneath my bathroom cabinets for example. I love things that make life simpler and since there is no need to reinvent the wheel I thought I'd pass along these websites. Being pregnant and on bedrest for a while has given me time to catch up on blogs and find some new sites that might make life a little easier. I have officially decided on the name for my new organizing company. I'm not going to reveal it to you all just yet...but just know it's in the works and I'm so excited about it! I've been doing a ton of research, learning, reading, and can't wait to start organizing for people! I figure, it's one of the things I love doing and most people hate it so...why not help make other people's lives calmer, simpler, and more organized of course. That was the title of the email that my  mom sent me on her birthday. She turned 49 on Tuesday March 30th. She spent her day going through old papers and photos in her office, because that's what she wanted to do. I come by it honest. My friends know that I'm an "organizer". Not really anything cool about it but more and more people are starting to realize how clutter, hoarding, and unorganized lifestyles create stress and chaos in the home. When things are neat, put away, cleaned even, they feel more relaxed and peaceful. This is what I strive for. I watch shows like Clean House and Hoarders and it makes me want to get up and go organize something :) In my last post about Badin Lake, the trailer we had was small but we only had in there what we needed. I remember one time being at the Lake with Dad and it was raining so I decided to clean out all the cabinets and rearrange them. I have spent the last couple of days at the coast getting 'organized'. Haha. I've finally gotten all my photos downloaded and stalked all my friends for theirs, leaving with me with nothing left except to print photos, post them to facebook, and blog. "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best." This was a quote in my planner, Meredith and I were browsing through the pictures so I decided to blog it. I like my planner with quotes and pictures, I may order a new one for 09. I don't think God made things to be complicated. He gave us a choice. One simple choice. To love him and obey his will, or not. Adam and Eve disobeyed. Thus making life complicated. Thank you - now there is birth pain and man must work his whole life and no more Garden of Eden where life was simple. Drama free. I try hard to make life simple and drama free. Sometimes drama comes our way...and you just have to dodge it or find the best way to deal with it. There are a lot of things we can't control that we try to. It's also easy to try and 'fix' everyone or every problem that comes along. You can't 'fix' or control everyone else. You just can't, even though you may want to. I think about all the s...
