Home and "Mom" organization

If you know me at all, you know how I feel about organization. I love it! Like, it makes me happy. (And yes, I said "like"). I enjoy vacuuming because it gives me a feeling of instant gratification. Everyone gets that feeling from something and for me, it's cleaning and organization. I am type A but definitely not a perfectionist. There are just some things I like neat and orderly, like underneath my bathroom cabinets for example. I love things that make life simpler and since there is no need to reinvent the wheel I thought I'd pass along these websites. Being pregnant and on bedrest for a while has given me time to catch up on blogs and find some new sites that might make life a little easier. I already have a home notebook with important information in it like wills, where documents are located, and a list of books to read some day. It also has our budgets in it and the last time we changed the air filters. I found that idea by googling home notebook. This is the website you'll get if you do that: http://organizedhome.com/household-notebook/
Her site is useful for a lot of things.
Even if you don't have kids they are helpful to get your home in order. http://www.justmommies.com/articles/home-organization-plan.php

and http://www.household-management-101.com/household-notebook.html
and http://www.motivatedmoms.com/
and another with printables http://www.areal-lifehousewife.com/2011/12/daily-weekly-and-monthly-cleaning.html
AND for meal planning...check out the Modern Parents Messy Kids blog - this specific one http://www.modernparentsmessykids.com/2012/03/poyel-six-week-meal-plan.html
Now, let me say these are just fun helpful lists and blogs to read. Noone is going to be perfect :) I've read recently a few blogs about women who feel convicted for trying to have an orderly home over taking care of their kids (or something along those lines) and while I am definitely not for making cleanliness and order an idol, I do think it is important to have your life and home in order and for it not to be filthy all the time. The home should be a place of refuge for your family and even for friends. Noone is going to want to come to your house if your toilet is growing things. I want my husband to feel relaxed when he comes home from work and not like our house is just a huge project or a messy, cluttered place. There can be a happy medium and I believe sites like the blogs listed above can be extremely helpful for maintaining a home without feeling like it's taking over your life. :)
