2 months...yikes

Wellll....funny what happens when I get a full time job and we are over committed. No mas. I'm still working but some of the extra curricular have been eliminated, hopefully to give me some more time in this life. Come Tuesday, once the holidays are over I'll be getting back to meal planning and couponing a little better.
For the holidays... a little recap. We went to the beach to Mom's for Thanksgiving. We put up the tree (after much searching for one, we finally got one two days later than usual), went to the flotilla on the waterway, and had an Oyster roast at the house. When we got home we put up our own tree. We had a Christmas party at our house for our hometeam, tons of fun! Then of course we did the Davis Christmas in Wingate on Sunday before Christmas, our immediate family plus Trey and Mel on Christmas Eve, and the Alley's in Salisbury on Christmas Day. Tomorrow we head to VR for Adam's side Christmas and spend New Years with them. Then. We. Slow. Down.
We aren't going to be traveling as much come this late winter and spring. Our house is welcome for visitors! We love having people over, but we just can't travel as much as we have been. A little craz!
My friend Tay is starting up a new blog in January where she's posting a picture a day every day for the entire year. I might copy her idea...I think it would be fun. Not sure that anyone reads my blog every day (and especially since I have neglected it for 2 months) but someday I might make this thing into a book. Or something.
Or maybe when we have kids I'll make a new blog. Who knows.
I've also become really into Pinterest. What a great idea, I wish I had come up with.

As I sit here, we're watching Fox News to keep up with what's going on in the world.
I'm going to post a money post soon too, to keep you guys up with our get out of debt plan. Lots to tell there.

Fish on Land

I was telling my friend Kristi the other day that we sordof feel like Fish on Land. Out of place, awkward, and not sure what we are supposed to do to survive. Our lives have been a whirlwind since...well...awhile. We left the church Adam was on staff with Easter Sunday. Since then, we have been praying and asking God what and where we are supposed to do next. Move to Charlotte, move to Wilmington, move to somewhere a church hires us. Do we look for church positions or look for secular jobs...do we look for student ministry jobs or another type of ministry? Do we sell or rent our house? What are we supposed to do? The answer to these questions are not yet decided. We have had some contacts for jobs but nothing has come through yet. We think we might want to move to Wilmington if we can find something. I think I offend people

Truth: I think I offend people. Some people just get on my nerves. While I realize this is not a "godly woman" kind of comment...sometimes that is how I react to people. I get annoyed when people speak condescendingly to me. I get annoyed when others question my word. I get annoyed when people lie. I get annoyed when people try to tell what they are learning from the Lord to others as though that is what THEY should be learning at that exact same season of life. These things...ugh. I get annoyed when people who have kids talk to people who don't have kids like they are stupid or ignorant. Same goes with married people and single people. I cannot be the only person that struggles with this. And I try really hard to filter what I say...so usually I'm only thinking that I'm annoyed but occasionally it pops right out of my mouth before I have time to catch it.
